Does your toddler burst into tears at the mention of bath time? Dreading the thought of getting your little one in the tub? Read on to discover three easy ways to make bath times fun – taking the stress away from you!
1. Keep bath times focused on fun
Bath time doesn’t have to be all about soaping and shampooing each and every day. Instead, combine fun bath times with those where your little one gets nice and clean. There’s an array of bath toys available on the market that’ll keep kids occupied for hours (or as long as you want them to stay in the tub)!
Encourage your toddler to use their imagination at bath time by introducing games! Try I-Spy using their bath toys, play pretend by taking a (bath-friendly) doll to the hairdressers for a shampoo or give them some baby bath toys to play with!
2. Jump in the tub too!
When your tot is reluctant to get in the bath, why not jump in with them? Even if you have more than one child, they’ll love mummy or daddy hopping in with them. Let your hair down and have a sing-a-long to some watery-themed nursery rhymes like Row, row, row your boat!
It’s not only a great way to encourage your toddlers to have fun but if you’re a working parent, it’s a lovely way to spend more time with your kiddies!
3. Let them choose their own bath time accessories
What could be more exciting for a child than choosing their very own bath accessories!
Let little ones choose a bath time toy, a new bubble bath, such as Matey’s pirates and princesses shaped bottles or their own hooded towel!
There are lots of hooded towels available, many of which like Skip Hop and Zoocchini have fun characters on that your little ones will instantly fall in love with!
